Metagenomic analysis of the microbial communities using next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics. Focus on the anaerobic digestion microbial communities involved in biogas production, and CO2 fixation. Analysis of the marine microbiome with metagenomics. Characterization of the virulence of mutant phytopathogenic fungi and identification of proteins and/or natural molecules capable of inducing resistance in plants or with antimicrobial activity for the control of fungal infections.
