Linee di ricerca

Our research group primarily concentrates on the following areas: 1. Understanding the physiology and molecular biology of plant responses to challenging environments, such as high temperatures and drought. 2. Analysis of the interaction between agronomically significant plants and beneficial soil microorganisms associated with the roots, with a specific focus on mycorrhizal symbiosis. 3. Extraction and purification of bioactive peptides and proteins of medical and industrial interest from plant-based sources. 4. Evaluation of the biostimulant and bioprotective properties of compounds of plant and animal origin, as well as waste-derived molecules, on crops. 5. Production of recombinant proteins in plant. These studies involve extensive physiological and molecular analyses, with a particular emphasis on proteomics and metabolomics.
