LINEE DI RICERCA
 
1. Subcellular and intercellular trafficking of second messengers causally related to regulation of intracellular calcium homeostasis (Cyclic ADP-ribose, ADP-ribose, NAADP+). Autocrine and paracrine mechanisms and molecular studies on relevant transporter systems and receptors.
2. Biological roles and signalling pathways triggered by extracellular pyridine nucleotides (NAD+, NAADP+).
3. Mechanisms of expansion/differentiation of mesenchymal and hemopoietic stem cells and their impact in biomedicine (bone marrow transplantation, bone regeneration).
4. Biological roles, metabolism and molecular mechanisms of adenylic homodinucleotides generated by ADP-ribosyl cyclases and featuring cytotoxic activities.
5. Biological roles, metabolism and molecular mechanisms of the phytohormone abscisic acid in mammals.
6. Modulation of functional activities of human platelets.
