- Biochemical and molecular study of neurodegenerative diseases with mitochondrial involvement. Characterization of proteomic and lipodomic profiles in neurodegenerative syndromes and in familial forms of Parkinson Disease (PD). Identification of biomarkers for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

- Regulation of PGC1-alpha activity in fibroblasts from patients with parkin deficiency.

- Production of iPSCs from PD fibroblasts to study the impact of PD mutations in the function and differentiation of dopaminergic neurons and to test the efficacy of possible genetic and / or metabolic treatments.
